What’s New in Lossless Extract 3.6
Lossless Extract 3.0 is the biggest update yet with completely rewritten Blu-ray stream parsing, a full pre-extraction tagging workflow with album artwork, real DSF tags, a CUE sheet editor, and much more.

Video Preview
- HD Video now plays over the dropzone while a chapter audio preview runs for Blu-ray, DVD-audio, and MKV. DVD-Audio shows the disc’s own slideshow in time to the music and motion menus are shown for Blu-ray and DVD-Audio

Community Tags
- Get community tags: one menu item on any disc pulls track titles another owner already worked out, matched to your exact disc rather than guessed from a folder name
- Built for the messy ones. A disc with six playlists of stereo, surround and Atmos mixes plus alternates and bonus material comes back with every playlist named correctly, not just the first
- Album artwork comes with it, fetched from Cover Art Archive so the disc is fully tagged in one action
- Submit your own the same way. One person does the work once and everybody else stops repeating it
- Blu-ray and DVD-Audio, the two formats nothing else tags well

Pre-extraction
- New tag workflow: identify your disc before extracting — search MusicBrainz by artist/album, or let AcoustID identify it from an audio fingerprint of the actual disc
- Album art fetched automatically from Cover Art Archive (or drag in your own) and embedded in every extracted file
- Tag multiple sources independently. Load up several discs in the file list and give each its own tags and artwork before batch extracting
- New file-view badges: a tag icon shows a source has saved tags, a cover icon shows it has artwork and what the cover is . See at a glance which discs are ready to extract
- Tags and artwork are saved per disc — re-import the same ISO next month and everything’s still there
- Track titles, album, artist, year all flow into the output files automatically at extraction
- Album fields (artist, album, year) are now directly editable — tag a disc even when MusicBrainz has never heard of it, perfect for obscure or audiophile pressings; artwork you drag in now reliably stays attached to the correct disc

DSF files finally get real tags + artwork
SACD extractions to DSF now carry full ID3 tags including title, artist, album, year, track numbers and embedded cover art. No more anonymous DSF files in your library. (DFF unchanged the format has no tagging standard.)

Better embedded metadata everywhere
- All output formats now embed album artist and track totals, and track numbers are disc-relative — extract just track 6 of a 10-track disc and it’s tagged 6/10, not 6/1
- Single-file extractions now get proper title tags too

CUE sheet editor
- Gapless + CUE users: you can now fix badly authored chapter marks — a small edit button opens a panel where you adjust each track’s start time before export. Audio is never touched, only the .cue markers, and your corrections are remembered per disc
- CUE sheets are also fixed to play properly in VLC (FILE type is now standards-compliant WAVE)
- Split a chapter into multiple CUE tracks for a medley or several songs authored as one chapter; added tracks are named inline and the audio is never re-encoded
- Paste an album’s tracklist to name every chapter at once instead of editing titles one by one — it handles numbered lists, trailing track times, even a whole tracklist pasted on a single line

Quality of life
- Set a default output format per source type in Preferences (SACD→DSF, CD→FLAC, etc.) — no more re-picking on every import
- New clear completed button — sweep finished extractions out of the list without touching pending ones
- Purge saved metadata option in Preferences if you ever want a clean slate
- Faster extraction of Atmos/TrueHD chapters from AACS Blu-rays (direct decryption path fixed — no more slow fallback)
- Retrieve a lost serial number right from the activation dialog, and renewal prompts now tell you exactly which version your license already includes
- File menu now has Open (Cmd-O) and a proper Open Recent list that remembers your discs across launches
- Update notifications render formatted release notes — bold highlights and clickable links instead of a wall of plain text
- Folder.jpg side car toggle in settings. Include a copy of the cover artwork with every extraction.

Output Naming — library-ready folders
Extractions can now organize themselves into folders by artist, album, and audio edition — Artist/Album (Year) [Atmos] — exactly how Plex and Roon read album versions. Pick a preset in Settings (Flat remains the default), or build your own template from {artist}, {album}, {year}, {codec}, {track}, and {title}. Untagged discs use the disc name, and extraction never stops for missing tags

Blu-ray stream parsing rewritten
The biggest under-the-hood change: Blu-ray stream identification rewritten to the Blu-ray spec exactly — much faster, and every stream is shown for every disc, including poorly authored ones

Network SACD, front and center
Network SACD extraction now has its own button right in the drop zone — no more hunting through the File menu (it’s still there too, ⇧⌘N)

Guided app tour
New users get a native, staged tour — a couple of pointers on first launch, then tips that appear right on the controls the first time you load a disc: stream selection, gapless/CUE, audition, AcoustID, tracklist pasting, and tagging. Replay it any time from the Help menu.
